What the bands mean

Band	What it says
A	Position recorded: the family is placed and the controls are evidenced. Keep the register and re-read on publication.
B	Family not placed: the inventory and controls may exist, but nobody has said which family the deployment belongs to.
C	Inventory gap: the controls are evidenced, but the mechanism set is incomplete.
D	Implementation gap: the parameter review or the verifier rejection test is not evidenced.
Incomplete	An answer is missing. The reading says which, rather than guessing.

What it does not do

It does not score you, it does not compare you with anyone, and it does not certify. It reads six answers into a planning position and names the next dated action, which is what a committee paper needs.
